Dryland Horse Pasture
Dryland Horse Pasture mix contains perennial grasses and reseeding clovers and grasses that are well suited for horses. It works well as seasonal pasture that can continue grow back for several years when managed properly. It is important to let the pasture establish before the first grazing and to rotationally graze thereafter. Seeds should be allowed to set and cure when the grasses and clovers reach there reproductive stages; your horse(s) can be turned in at this point and should be allowed to graze the pasture down to where a few inches of pasture grass remains at which time they should be taken out. The same management should be followed when the pasture begins to grow back in the 2nd and subsequent years.
