Santiago Burr Medic (Medicago polymorpha var brevispina):
Burr Medic can be use for dry land grazing, hay production, erosion control, and as a cover crop for vineyards or orchards. Burr Medic is often referred to as burr clover. It is low growing and branches profusely at the base, it can tolerate frequent, relatively close (3 to 5 inches) grazing or mowings, once established. Burr Medic is more productive and persistent in low rainfall areas than subclover, and is the most water logging tolerant annual medic species with tolerance to mild salinity. It is well adapted to loam and clay loam soils. Santiago has early/mid maturity and produces 80% to 90% hardseed (Hardseededness is a mechanism of seed dormancy that allows formation of a persistent seedbank) when allowed to mature.
The seed is already coated with inoculum.
